Adam Schefter of the NFL network reports that Jerry Porter has required surgery on his injured hamstring, and will miss the entire pre-season. This means that he will not get a chance to get accustomed to his new offense before the season. Add that to the propensity for hamstring injuries to linger or get re-injured, and it doesn't look good for Porter this season.
Dennis Northcutt and Troy Williamson seem to have the most to gain from this injury, as they should pick up the slack that Porter will leave.
