It would figure that a day after I write a post about how we find the most important story of the day and write about it, there really is not a story that has a huge fantasy impact. And no, a certain quarterback reporting to training camp in Green Bay does not change any of my projections from yesterday.
The only thing that came across the wire in that made me change any projections was the Denver Broncos depth chart, which shows rookie wideout Eddie Royal as the 4th receiver, ahead of Keary Colbert. He has a chance to start the first two or three games of the season as Brandon Marshall serves his suspension (speaking of Marshall, I think he could be a draft-day bargain for the same reasons that Steve Smith will be - instead of rehashing the same article for Marshall, just read the Smith article here and apply everything to Marshall).
Eddie Royal was a second-round pick out of Virginia Tech in April, and was thought to be mainly a returner. But coach Mike Shanahan has been singing his praises all summer, and Royal looks to be shooting up the depth chart.
I hate rookie wide recievers, but Royal may be the best bet of this year's crop. I have him listed at 25 catches for 260 yards and 1 touchdown this year, and he could really break out into a premiere receiver by 2009 or 2010.
