Chicago - Indianapolis Game Notes

Who needs training camp and the pre-season? Quarterbacks do. The entire Colts offense looked out of rhythm Sunday night, and I'm sure that had a lot to do with the lack of time spent playing with Peyton Manning during camp. It may take a few weeks for the Colts to hit their stride.

Matt Forte was used by the Bears like a veteran workhorse, and he played the part well. The Bears figure to be a run-first team (39 runs and 21 passes against the Colts), that will rely on a strong ground game and dominant defense to protect the still-sucky-but-not-as-bad-as-Rex-Grossman Kyle Orton, so Forte looks to get a big workload all season. Kevin Jones might even have some marginal value (until he gets hurt).
