The Lions have added Rudi Johnson to their backfield, and dumped Tatum Bell to make room. It was just over a year ago that Tatum Bell was traded for 'Dre Bly. Think the Lions would like that one back?
I plugged Johnson to get the 100 carries that I had Tatum projected for, because I'm lazy. Seriously, I just don't see Rudi getting more than 100 carries before he gets injured or the Lions realize that he is useless. I actually have getting fewer yards than Bell would've gotten, but I do see him vulturing some goal line carries from Kevin Smith.
Right now, I am just not very excited by the backfield situation in Detriot. Rudi has been very injury prone, and Kevin Smith got so many carries in college that he also presents an injury risk. The top back for the Lions in 2008 might not even be on the roster right now.
