It's been a long 7 months since the Giants shocked the world in the Super Bowl, and their reward is to open the season tonight. Right now, the Giants and Redskins are suiting up for the now-traditional Thursday night opener.
So I plan on sitting back with my chips, dips, jalapeno poppers and a few brews and taking in the whole experience. This is why we play this game: we love football. I can't stand people who say that fantasy footballers are not "real fans." At the heart of our passion for this nerdy little game we play with our friends is a burning passion for football. If I never played fantasy football again, I would still devour everything NFL that I could lay my eyes on. Like Homer Simpson says: Ice Cream is great, but Ice Cream with sprinkles is even better.
So tonight, sit back, exhale, know that you did the best you possibly could in your draft(s), and enjoy the game.
