Houston - Pittsburgh Game Notes

Willie Parker, as we had prognosticated earlier in the week, was used as an every-down back Pittsburgh. He came through with 3 TDs, 1 more than he had all of last season. Parker has always excelled in this role when given the chance, so now maybe Mike Tomlin will have confidence in him around the goal line. Rashard Mendenhall, on the other hand, did not get his first carry until the 3rd quarter.

Steve Slaton (13 carries for 43 yards) is already getting more carries than starter Ahman Green (5 for 28). Hopefully, you took our advice and drafted Slaton late in your draft; if he is still available, he makes a good RB4 at this point.
