Sunday Night Notes

For those of you holding your breath in anticipation, you will be happy to know that the wireless internet at the Best Western in Mayport, Florida is alive and well!

Getting on with fantasy notes from today's games...

BenJarvis Green-Ellis got the overwhelming majority (26) of the carries with New England today, putting him firmly ahead of Kevin Faulk on the depth chart. With the numbers he put up (105 yards against a good Buffalo defense), he might not lose too many carries to Sammy Morris and Lamont Jordan next week when/if they return from injury.

Julius Jones had 16 carries to Maurice Morris' 1, so it looks like Jones is getting a chance to be the featured back again.

Not many injuries this week, but Derrick Mason banged up his shoulder, and was able to return to the game. Also, Jeremy Shockey had to leave the game with an ankle injury. Shockey has been a major disappointment all year after going to the high-octane Saints offense.

Ricky Williams got as many touches in the Dolphins backfield as Ronnie Brown, and appears to be relevant again. Of course, this is not a good sign for Brown, but there should be plenty to go around next week against the Raiders.

The pendulum in Detroit has swung back towards Kevin Smith, who had 23 carries to Rudi Johnson's 2. Smith has now outcarried Johnson by a count of 37 to 10 over the past 2 weeks.

Drew Stanton played at the end of the Lions game, but don't let his good numbers (6 of 8 for 94 yards and 1 TD) fool you. He also was sacked 5 times in just a quarter of play, showing that he is not yet ready. Expect Culpepper to get another start next week. Also expect him to stink it up again.
